Phoebe is a 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler)/Terrier mix who has all the qualities people love about this incredible breed. She’s intelligent, alert, affectionate, and loyal to the core. She's spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. Phoebe is crate trained, house trained, and thrives in a structured environment. She enjoys routine and will often put herself to bed in her crate if she sees you reach for the milkbone box. She’s been living in a foster home with kids, cats, and other dogs. While she can be selective with new dog friends, she does great with proper introductions, especially with non-dominant dogs. This girl is an athlete at heart with a strong prey drive (squirrels beware), but she’s also happy to relax nearby, soaking in the sounds of a busy household or watching the world go by from a comfy crate. She is smart as a whip, deeply loyal, and follows the rules beautifully once she knows you’re the leader. As her foster mom, I can tell you Phoebe is an amazing companion. She is quiet in her crate, gets along great with my dogs, and adores my kids. Her previous returns were not her fault. She just needs someone who understands the heart and drive of a Cattle Dog. She is truly a gem who wants nothing more than to be someone’s forever sidekick. Phoebe would thrive in a home that can offer her routine, gentle leadership, and a little time to adjust.
