My story

Sasha is a 5-year-old American Bulldog with a calm, confident presence and a heart that’s ready to belong to someone who truly understands her. Rescued from Miami-Dade in 2023, Sasha has come a long way and is now looking for a stable, experienced home where she can continue to thrive. She has a low to moderate energy level that shifts depending on her surroundings—she enjoys leisurely walks, lounging in a sunny spot, and exploring the outdoors at her own pace. Sasha isn’t a fan of being fussed over or crowded, so an adult-only home is preferred—one that respects her boundaries and understands that affection, for her, is best earned slowly and thoughtfully. She is dog-selective and tends to be uncomfortable around pushy or overly energetic dogs. While she may coexist peacefully with calm, well-mannered dogs in neutral settings, she would do best as the only pet in the home to avoid unnecessary stress. Sasha also has a high prey drive, so she should not go to a home with cats or small animals. She’s looking for an adopter with previous dog experience—someone who values routine, understands canine body language, and can provide the kind of calm, structured environment in which she feels most secure. Sasha is a strong, smart girl who doesn’t need much—just space, respect, and someone who appreciates her quiet loyalty.
