My story

Update from Foster: My name is PoohBear! I am a Shepard mix; I weigh 60 pounds and am now 11 months old. I have received all my puppy vaccinations; I am neutered; and I am in search of my first home! I am a good-natured healthy pup. I LOVE WATER!! I love running! I love my tummy rubs! I like riding in the car! I wear my harness with pride! I am very smart but sneaky. I am polite but I am stubborn. I am good at listening; I respond to sound; talking is part of my personality. I know some command structure but I am full of mischief. I seem aloof but I am actually a socialite looking for opportunity. I was born March 30, 2022. I have lived with my foster family since I was 2 weeks old; I was weened from my Mom successfully; I live in a small rural environment so I am not as familiar with the outside world, or desensitized to city living or loud noises, or the socialization as other puppies my age. I am still nervous about cars, buses, trains; I am not familiar with other animals, but with proper introduction I can learn to socialize. I would be best suited with an active family or any individual dedicated to my happiness. I like one on one relationships; I need devoted attention for the duration of my puppyhood (at least next six months). I also need a lot of outdoor space to run and the expectation that I will be a large dog at maturity and that is manageable long-with-standing.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt POOH BEAR, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
