My story

Meet Bulla, a 6-year-old Boxer mix with a heart full of love and a story that proves just how resilient dogs can be. Originally rescued from the Bahamas, Bulla overcame a difficult start to life—he was sadly used as a bait dog before finding safety and a second chance. Despite his past, Bulla has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion who’s ready to find a forever home where he can feel truly safe and loved. With his soulful eyes and gentle nature, Bulla thrives on human connection and absolutely loves to cuddle. He has a moderate energy level—he’s happy to play with his toys or go for a walk, but he’s just as content lounging by your side. He’s housetrained, knows his basic commands, and has a deep appreciation for the little joys in life, like belly rubs and a good chew toy. Due to his past, Bulla can be dog-selective and tends to do best with female dogs. He would flourish in a home where his canine interactions are supervised and carefully managed. He’s not good with cats, so a feline-free home is a must. Because of his unique history, Bulla needs an adopter with prior dog experience, someone who can offer both patience and leadership. Bulla is great with kids and would make a loyal, loving addition to a family that understands his needs and is ready to give him the safe, stable home he deserves.
