My story

Meet Sheppie, a 4-year-old Shepherd mix who traveled from a shelter in Alabama to Big Dog Ranch in search of her forever home. Full of spirit and joy, Sheppie has a high energy level and would love an active family who’s ready to keep her busy with playtime, adventures, and plenty of love. She’s a wonderful choice even for first-time dog owners, as her sweet nature and eagerness to bond make her easy to connect with. Sheppie is good with other dogs, loves her toys, adores cuddle time, and can’t resist splashing around in the water. She’s still learning her leash manners and brushing up on her basic skills, but with a little patience and consistency, she’ll quickly catch on. Sheppie is playful, affectionate, and full of life—everything you could want in a best friend. Now all she needs is a family to share her big heart (and bigger tail wags!) with!
