Personality: energetic, smart, playful, outgoing, affectionate, eager-to-please, and independent. Say hello to Moxie, an affectionate, energetic dog who is excited and enthusiastic about life! With her warm, brown eyes searching for her forever home, Moxie is the perfect blend of brains and affection. She loves to know what's going on and to be in the center of it all. This learned lady has already aced "sit" and "stay," proving she's as smart as she is charming. But Moxie's talents don't stop there! She is house trained and learning polite greetings, and her foster family trusts Moxie to have full run of the house while she's home alone. When she's not showing off her smarts, Moxie enjoys playtime and cuddles. She loves being with her people, especially on walks, playing ball, and going to dog parks. In addition to dogs and people, she even gets along with the cat in her foster home. Moxie would do best in a home without small children, where she can get all of the love and affection of the adults around her. Are you ready to meet the dog who could change your life? Apply today to meet Moxie! ___________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moxie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
