My story

Penny (a.k.a. Peanut) is a character and a half, and an absolute delight. She was rescued from behind a Taco Bell in East LA, and has since charmed everyone she's met. She’s tiny in size, with one tiny eye (the vet says it’s nothing to worry about), and a huge personality. She’s like a hummingbird - always zipping around, hovering for a few sweet moments to get some cuddles or Churu treats, then she's off again to go play. She will unceasingly chase a wand toy, is learning to fetch with her favorite foam soccer balls, and recently entertained herself (and her foster) for a good 15 minutes with an edamame shell, which she flipped into the air and carried around in her mouth like prey. While playing is Penny’s top priority, she’s also very loving, sometimes dramatically flopping herself down right next to you to cuddle, or nestling between your ankles in bed to sleep. She also has a lot to say, and her vocalizations are funny and sweet. She loves other cats, and she would likely be good with dogs, though that hasn’t been confirmed yet. She would be a great companion to other high energy pets, or very easy-going ones, being very active and spirited herself. She could also be a good solo kitty for someone who is home a lot and able to give her plenty of playtime and attention. When you welcome Penny into your home, get ready for endless laughter and abundant joy. This special girl is eager to find her forever family, and she can't wait to be a source of great happiness in your life for years to come.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Penny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
