My story

Energetic, Curious, Cuddly It's almost spooky how cute Spooky Cute is! He's an energetic, absolutely joyful cat who loves to run, play, and climb - a proverbial Energizer Bunny eer. Cat. He has such great fun wrestling with his fellow foster brother, and he does so politely without using his claws. His favorite toys are motion toys that he can chase or a good laser game of chase with you!! When Spooky isn't playing he watches birds and nocturnal critters from his foster room window. He just LOVES watching those birds at the feeder and at night he has owls landing in the tree next to his window and you can hear him chatter away in excitement. Spooky loves to chat with his people too and with other cats. He even chats with his toys! His chats sound utterly like he was telling his toy how much he loves it or telling the birds how excited he is to see them. As much as he loves the nature beyond his window he favors a good cuddle with you over watching birds anytime. He likes other playful cats but needs a proper and slow introduction as he is very timid at first. When he has a safe haven where he feels secure he'll be more confident in meeting new feline friends. Currently Spooky Cute loves other nice kitties and he'd love to befriend more. Actually the more the merrier. He likes being part of a pack that always has someone available to roughhouse or cuddle. Or be the center of attention in a family of humans (with kids!) that all adore him and cuddle him when he thinks it is snuggle time. Spooky Cute went through an illness that left him hard of hearing. Hence chirping bird or squeaky mice toys are not his thing. He likes toys that light up and move. He holds his head at a slight tilt which looks really cute but also means he sometimes misses when jumping or wrestling. He’s adapted well to his balance issues, and the tilt just gives him character! Spooky Cute has no medical needs, but did go through a time when he was not feeling well. We will be happy to discuss how those previous challenges presented and how they were managed, and eventually fixed. Spooky Cute has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. He can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Spooky Cute, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
