My story

Meet Hartford, a 2 y.o. female kitty! Hartford came to FVHS from a hoarding house case.Hartford is a resilient young kitty with a gentle spirit and a whole lot of love to give. She first came to us in September 2023 from a hoarding situation, and despite everything she’s been through, she has remained a loving, affectionate girl.After an adoption, Hartford has returned to our care and arrived in rough shape, but thanks to lots of love and care, she’s been making amazing progress every day. She`s rediscovering how good it feels to roll around, rub her cheeks on her favorite people, and just be a cat again. She did come in with Stage 4 periodontal disease which means that she did receive numerous extractions and will need wet food for life.Still young and full of potential, Hartford is beginning to show her playful, confident side. She’s got that classic “lovey dovey” energy and would thrive in a calm, stable home where she can feel safe and adored.If you`re looking for a sweet companion who just wants to love and be loved, Hartford might just be your girl. Come meet her and see how special she really is.Her history with dogs or kids is unknown, but our Adoption Team would love to give you the information you need for slow introductions to any resident pets or younger friends.
