My story

Bourbon recently went on a Dog Day Out and this is what his DDO buddy had to say: "He is a toy boy all the way! He just wants to romp, play, and have a good time. He is 3.5yrs old and 40lbs and has the most beautiful bourbon colored eyes. - He will chase balls and other toys as long as you want to throw them. He brings them back and drops them a few feet away from you, ready for another throw. - He loads easily in a crate and rides quietly in the car. Absolutely no fuss! - He walks much better on slip leash than on harness, and will give nicely to leash pressure. Still figuring out where to put his body! - Not super food motivated, but enjoys the occasional meaty treat - Respects a 4ft fence with no problems. Doesn't even attempt to leave the fenced area. Just happy to romp and play with his toys - He is still learning how to be a snuggler but he loves petting once he settles enough. Especially butt scritches. - Immediate recall if you have a squeaky toy. No matter what he's doing, he will be at your feet in seconds after one squeak! " Bourbon has had positive interactions with other dogs, but is definitely the rough and tumble type! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs in to meet your potential new family member to make sure it's the right match. Come meet Bourbon between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
