My story

Hello there, future paw-rent! My name is Xena, but they also call me `Brandy` at the shelter. You see, I`ve had a bit of a rough start in life, but I`m ready to find my forever home, and I`m speaking to you directly from my heart.Shelter life can be a bit overwhelming, and it took me some time to adjust. At first, I might seem a bit jumpy when we meet, but don`t let that discourage you. I`ve come a long way since my first day here, and I`ve got a lot of love to give.One of my absolute favorite things is going for walks. There`s something about exploring the world and feeling the wind on my fur that brings me so much joy. While I adore these outings, I do have to admit that I can be a bit dog-aggressive towards my fellow canines. It`s just that I need a little time and maybe a few meet-and-greets with someone who`s willing to be patient and understanding as I work on my social skills.Trust is a big deal for me, but once I build that bond, I promise I`m a great dog. I`m a big fan of treats, and they`re an excellent way to win me over and reward me for my progress.I did have some trust issues with leads when I first arrived, but I`ve improved a lot. Now, I can get on my lead without any trouble, and I`m ready to embark on adventures with you. When you see me wagging my tail and flashing my sweetest smiles, you`ll know that I`m truly opening up and feeling happy.I`m still a little jumpy when it comes to being pet, but I`m determined to overcome this. With your patience and love, I believe we can work through it together.So, if you`re willing to invest some time and patience into helping me build trust, I promise I`ll be the most loyal and loving companion you could ever ask for.
