My story

She’s always smiling and she has the cutest, ever so slight underbite that you will ever see. Meet Maeve! She is a happy 3 year old, 45 lbs girl ready for a home of her own! Maeve is all spunk and energy! She will play fetch for hours, and we mean literally hours. And if you aren’t throwing the ball for her, she will prance around the yard for hours showing her foster siblings her pretty ball she is carrying. She a little bundle of muscle that never tires out. She would make a great walking or running buddy and is a pro at running on the treadmill in her foster home! She also LOVES doing puzzles! These are two simple activities that may take 30 minutes a day for an owner to do with her and get that edge of energy out. While being a high-energy gal, Maeve listens really well and just wants to please her human by following direction. Next to playing fetch, Maeve’s second love is chewing on bones. She also likes to play in the water! Maeve lives with foster siblings of all sizes and ages and does well with everyone1 However, because of Maeve’s energy level, some other dogs take a minute to get used to her – Maeve knows no boundaries and thinks everyone is ready to run the second she meets them. Taking your time with introductions and supervising introductions early on is the best approach and in no time everyone is best friends. She would be best in a cat free home as she does find them interesting and would likely want to play a little too rough. Due to her energy level, Maeve should not go to a home with young children because she will definitely knock them down and push her limit with them. Maeve is house and kennel trained. She may pull on a leash, but it’s just from excitement and overall does well on walks. She loves her kennel and will need to go to a home committed to continuing her kennel training. She is a dream in the car! Maeve hasn’t had the easiest start to life, and is just the sweetest, spunkiest girl - she deserves a FOREVER family that understands that and appreciates it! She will repay her family in loyalty and gratefulness that only a rescue dog knows and understands You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application Maeve is spayed, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maeve, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
