PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! THEO RAEKEN (named after a character in TEEN WOLF), his mom NATALIE MARTIN and his 4 siblings (KIRA YUKIMURA - CORA HALE - LIAM DUNBAR and MALIA TATE) were rescued from a backyard. Rescue mama was called that the neighbors were not being kind to the little family. So a trapper went out and trapped the family. Then brought them to our rescue. With all the chaotic rescuing going on in the summer, we were not able to get out kittens into our regular clinic. We were offered a different clinic and we made the appointments. To our dismay 7 of the 18 cats sent to this clinic ended up in the emergency room. THEO RAEKEN was one of the lucky ones that did not have complications. Our little THEO RAEKEN has been through so much tragedy at such a young age. He deserves a wonderful home that will love him and want to give him a TRUE FUREVER home. Meet THEO RAEKEN, a cautious yet captivating Orange and White Tabby from Torrance, California whose heart slowly opens up to the world through the magic of Churu treats and his love for dangly wand toys. THEO RAEKEN is a soul who’s still learning to trust the world, and though his first instinct may be to hide or growl, he’s not being mean—just cautious. THEO RAEKEN has spent most of his life in a cattery, so the outside world is still a bit mysterious to him. He’s the kind of cat who may hiss or growl at first, hiding when things get too overwhelming, but don’t let that fool you—underneath that initial shyness is a playful and curious soul just waiting for the right person to show him a little patience. His favorite things? Churu, wet food, and of course, treats—he's a total foodie, and those little moments of indulgence help him feel safe enough to start exploring. When it comes to playtime, THEO RAEKEN is all in. He’s especially fond of dangly wand toys, chasing them with a delightful burst of energy and curiosity that shows his true playful side. He’s been known to leap and bat at the toy, a momentary glimpse into the joyful, spirited companion he could become in the right home. THEO RAEKEN does great with other cats and enjoys the company of his siblings, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-cat home. While he’s curious about dogs, he’s still figuring them out. He hasn’t been around children, so a quieter environment with an understanding and patient guardian would be ideal as he continues to grow and learn. He’s never had a real home, but with a little time, love, and understanding, THEO RAEKEN will blossom into a cat who feels safe and secure enough to share his true self. THEO RAEKEN needs a loving home where he can grow at his own pace, surrounded by kindness, patience, and, of course, plenty of treats and playtime. Are you the gentle, caring guardian who can help Theo discover what it means to truly belong? THEO RAEKEN is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY-TIGGER MIX. He is about 2 years 1 month old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children and he is very curious about dogs. THEO RAEKEN is currently at our rescue in Hemet. California.
