Meet Carter: Your New Adventure Buddy! Carter is the perfect companion for anyone seeking an active, fun-loving dog. This social butterfly thrives on making new friends-both human and canine-and is always ready for the next adventure! Whether it's a car ride to a scenic hiking spot, splashing in the river, or a game of fetch in the yard, Carter is up for it all. He's becoming quite the expert at socializing with other dogs, especially those his size or larger who are game for a good chase or wrestling match. While he's still refining his communication skills, he's eager to please and is ready to learn with his forever family. Carter dreams of a home with a spacious backyard where he can run, play, and soak up the day. He's house-trained, knows his basic cues, and is just waiting for someone to open their car door and take him on a new journey. Ready for a hiking buddy who's loyal, fun, and full of love? Carter's your guy! Carter's Favorite Things: Chews: I enjoy crunching on my favorite chews in my safe spaces. Outside Time: I love being outside and taking in my environment. Hikes: I enjoy doing a few miles on the trails with my favorite volunteers. Cues That Carter Knows: Sit Down Let's Go! Greeting Manners Carter is an All-Star dog! His adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption. Their adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and they will go home with their very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get them off to a good start! Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives.
