Meet MOOKIE! Mookie is only 2 years old, but has unfortunately landed in the shelter. Mookie is a young boy looking for a family to teach him the ways of life. Mookie is dog social and would love to meet any possible fur-siblings before going home. He loves to romp and play, with other dogs and any human who will pay him any attention! Mookie was reported to be house trained in his last home. Mookie is currently living in a foster home, email foster@kcpetproject.org to meet him!Mookie was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Mookie was very calm and did a good job! We went on a walk and played in the yard with kids. He seemed very good with kids! We got some ice cream and he woofed it down and then fell asleep in the car ride back.`On another day out, `Mookie was such a sweetheart and one of the calmest dogs ever—you can’t look at him without smiling. He’s happy to match your energy, whether you’re ready for a walk, a run, or just a relaxing day. Mookie has the cutest smile and absolutely loves his naps!`Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in the shelter? They are oftentimes the dogs who stay in shelter care the longest and are chosen last due to appearance. Break the stigma and adopt a black dog today. Remember, black dogs are the best dogs. Their hair doesn`t show up on black clothing and their coats don`t appear as dirty as they may be. Will you be the lucky owner of a black shelter dog? Come down to KCPP to pick one out!Mookie is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mookie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
