My story

Meet Triscuit, the charming adoptable puppy with a flair for belly rubs! This adorable furball, affectionately nicknamed Tricks or Mr. Tricks, is sure to win your heart with his silly antics and delightful personality. One of Triscuit's most distinctive features is his black and white spotted tongue, adding a touch of playful whimsy to his appearance. But that's not all-he has soft, pettable ears that will make you want to shower him with love and attention. Triscuit is a social butterfly and has found the best of friends in his foster sister, Annie, and his brother, Ritz. They share countless days playing together, tussling over balls and ropes, and engaging in epic tug-of-war battles. In fact, Triscuit is a true dog's dog, forming instant bonds with other dogs and longing for playtime with his furry companions. We do believe that Triscuit will do better with another dog in the home. He takes cues from the other pups in his foster home, and they have really helped him come out of his shell. When it comes to children, Triscuit is a bit scared due to the sudden movements and high-pitched noises. We think he should start out in a home with older kids who understand time and patience. We know older kids will know they can gently pet him, once he's had a chance to adjust to them. Triscuit has proven to be a well-behaved and house-trained puppy, with no accidents since his second day in foster care. He's also crate trained and finds comfort in his safe space when napping or having meals. Speaking of food, he already knows that the word "food" means mealtime, and he's learning to use the doggy door with some assistance. In an ideal home, Triscuit will need a patient adopter who understands that he may take a few days to feel comfortable and open up. But once he's settled in, he'll be a Velcro dog, sticking to you like glue and showering you with sweet licks and affectionate gestures. Triscuit's foster parents have witnessed his incredible progress-from being timid and hesitant to blossoming into a friendly, outgoing pup. One of their favorite things he does, he will let you know he wants some pets by throwing himself on his back and waving his paws at you until you scratch his belly! He also likes having his chest scratched, it makes his back legs go crazy. He in turn will give out sweet kisses of thanks. If you're looking for a fun puppy full of energy and playfulness, Triscuit is the perfect addition to your family. With a little patience and understanding, you'll see him transform into a loving and devoted family member ready to share his heart and life with his forever human. Adopt Triscuit today and let the cracker-loving adventures begin! All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). We only adopt in the USA. We are open to adopting in other states, except in Massachusetts. There are quarantine laws for MA and until these laws change, we are not able to adopt into MA.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Triscuit, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
