My story

Anne came to BARCS with her best friend Andy, and together they are a friendly and polite duo! Anne has a zest for life and is ready and eager when its her time for a walk. She is treat motivated and also appears housebroken here. Her favorite activity at the shelter is taking walks with her pal Andy.Anne and Andy, our beautiful bonded pair, had an unforgettable Dog’s Day Out with their volunteer friends—and they truly made the most of it! These two were all tail wags and excitement hopping into the car, riding like perfect passengers in the backseat. They shared sweet kisses (Andy loves pressing his face lovingly into yours!) and were nothing short of polite and gentle when offered treats or pupcups—both eagerly showing off their “sit” and “paw” skills.Their day included a short walk, a relaxing stop at Black Flag Brewery where they were social butterflies—so well behaved and friendly with every person they met! Anne proudly showed off her monkey toy while Andy occasionally joined in, but both dogs were mostly focused on enjoying each other’s company and giving affection to their new human pals. On another adventure to Herring Run Park they enjoyed exploring the trails and rolling in the grass. They walked politely past walkers runners, and cyclists.Their bond is undeniable—supportive, sweet, and so special to witness. Despite being two big pups, Anne and Andy are so well-mannered and in sync, making them an absolute delight to be around. They wrapped up the day at the park, lounging under shady trees, snuggling with each other and their people, and giving gentle kisses all around.Andy and Anne are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Anne is uncomfortable around other dogs and would do best living with Andy and no other dogs.Anne and Andy are truly the full package: loving, loyal, joyful, and ready to bring double the love to a forever home—together.
