Buster von Brussow is a very handsome 5-6 year old long haired German Shepherd. He is truly magnificent. All eyes are on him as he seems to prance when he comes out for a walk. He takes treats gently, loves affection and is such a sweet soul. He seems to be housebroken and waits for hours to get his turn for a potty walk. Buster is good on a leash, knows how to heel and listens to directions well. Unfortunately, he’s not a fan of cats though. Buster should be at the top of the list for an owner who has been looking for a good-looking guy, who asks that no other dogs reside in his future home. He was abandoned in the desert and the Good Sam who found him begged us to get Buster out of the animal shelter after his hold-time, before it was too late! Could you give him the ultimate chance of a loving forever home? IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Buster von Brussow YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Buster von Brussow, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
