My story

END OF JULY ADOPTION SPECIAL: every dog who goes home before August 1, will go home with a basket of new toys, treats and a new orthopedic bolstered dog bed. Hello world, my name is Georgia and I am so happy to meet you! In fact, I am happy all the time. I have the most beautiful smile. I love to love. I think humans are the best thing ever and I greet them with a full body wag, tail going in circles and a big ole grin on my face. I give gentle kisses and I walk well on leash. I really enjoy going for walks and sniffing the world. I am awesome in the car. I wear my seat belt, I don't make a peep, I sit like a good girl and watch the world go by out the window. I am 100% housetrained and crate trained. I get along well with cats and dogs, and I want to play with them. I play bow, spin, throw myself on the ground, then I want to chase or be chased. It's so fun. I romp and run in the yard, usually with a toy in my mouth. I love all the toys - soft ones, hard ones. I am really good at finding the stuffing and throwing it around. I will bring a toy over to another dog and invite them to play with me. I am an expert at upside-down dog. I give myself back scratches and I love the belly rubs. I will also let you know if someone is in our yard or in our driveway. I am not a barker, but I will give a couple low barks to let you know someone is around. I don't even bark at the deer in the yard ... deer threat level is a zero. I am an absolute gem, the perfect balance of let's chill out and let's play. I am a lapdog sometimes. I am a very good cuddler. Other times, I just like to snooze with my head on your foot or in your lap. Some lucky humans are going to hit the jackpot, so apply today and prepare to fall madly in love. I am such a wonderful pup! Adoption fee: $80. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, 30 days of free pet insurance, one session with a certified behavior trainer and microchip. Shop our Amazon Wish List to gift us supplies we need and have them shipped directly to us.. NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label. Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Georgia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
