My story

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 Meet Kkotbun❤️ 💙 Foster Updates: @kkotbun2_ 1. Health Status • Spayed • Microchipped, fully recovered from heartworm • Dental notes: Missing a lower tooth and has a broken lower right canine, but she eats just fine! 2. Rescue Story * In the fall of 2022, Kkotbun arrived at the Gimje City Shelter with her five puppies. She had given birth and cared for them all on her own, and despite how tough that must’ve been, she raised them into chubby, healthy little pups. All of her babies have since been adopted—now it’s Kkotbun’s turn to find a forever home. 💛 3. Personality & Behavior • With People: She’s a bit timid and needs time to warm up to new people. She won’t run away when approached but may act cautious at first. Once she’s comfortable, she shows affection and likes to be held. Recently, she’s become comfortable with strangers very quickly, and has started sleeping with people in bed. • With Dogs: She got along well with other dogs at the Center, though she wasn’t the type to initiate play. She enjoyed quiet time in a shaded corner. At her foster home, she’s met other dogs on walks and shows curiosity but stands still. * With Cats: Hasn’t met any cats yet. • Separation Anxiety: None! She’s independent and does well on her own when her foster parent is out. If someone else is home, she usually naps or lounges on the bed. • House Training: She pees on artificial grass at home, but prefers to poop outdoors. • Grooming: She’s okay with baths but gets nervous if cornered or taken into a bathroom. She’s become better at being held and stays in your arms even after a bath. She's not a fan of brushing but tolerates it, though she’s scared of nail trimming and has occasionally pooped from fear. She’s not yet used to tooth brushing, but if you gently hold her face, she lets you do it! • Walks: She used to be scared of leashes, but with steady training, she’s now comfortable wearing a slip leash. She’s still sensitive to leash tension—if it pulls, she can freeze and tremble. She knows when it’s time for a walk and wags her tail in excitement. Enjoys sniffing on walks. Has succeeded in going for walks further away from home and has visited a dog cafe. Has shown a little bit of curiosity towards people during walks. • Car Rides: She drools and becomes nervous on 10-minute car rides. * Likes: She loves her kennel and feels safe resting inside. * Dislikes: Kkotbun is easily startled by sudden noises like crinkling bags or things dropping. Doesn’t particularly like being picked up but has become better with training.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt KkotBun, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
