My story

Located in Cambridge, Ontario. DOB January 8, 2018. Bella is currently being fostered in store at PetSmart Cambridge. Bella is a quiet girl who just wants to live her life on her terms. She doesn’t want to be a lap cat or perform for the humans around her. She is quite content to just be left to her own devices. She isn’t opposed to some pets on her terms in her own time. Bella loves some catnip. She is looking for a human who can get her a steady supply. She will be very nice when cat nip is involved. Bella has had a rough go of it. She was adopted from TCR after having her last litter of kittens when she was just about a year old. Bella wasn’t a cuddler and didn’t want to be the cat her humans wanted her to be. Her owners tried many things to make Bella into the cat they wanted. Including declawing her in violation of their TCR contract. Unfortunately Bella’s owner died and their partner could not handle Bella’s care. They scheduled an appointment to euthanize Bella. The vet refused as Bella is a healthy girl with lots of life left to live. Bella was surrendered to the vet who contacted us to bring her back into our care. Bella is declawed and will need soft natural litter to avoid further pain from her declaw. Note from Bella's foster family: Bella is a sweet girl who needs a quiet adult only home. She requires love and patience to find her way into her best cat self. She doesn’t like being picked up or caged. If she is allowed to exist in a loving environment with no expectations she will be very happy. We have seen Bella be sweet and interact with humans who don’t have their own agenda. Bella deserves a human to love her for who she is.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bella *Declawed*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
