My story

Meet Tanami, affectionately known as Nami, a resilient and energetic little dynamo who has overcome great odds to become the lively, goofy dog she is today. Found in a neglected state, severely underweight and nearly hairless, she`s since transformed into a happy and full-of-life companion. Her journey reflects the meaning of her name, derived from the Warlpiri word meaning `never die,` and she truly embodies this spirit with her playful and determined personality. She’s been waiting patiently for her forever home and doesn’t understand why she’s passed over so often!Nami loves meeting new people and exploring new experiences, though she prefers to play her special treat game with new people before they jump in to petting her. Once she warms up with a few tasty snacks, she`s all about cuddles and playtime. A fan of Frisbees and chasing games, Nami thrives on fun with other dogs who enjoy her playful, herding-style energy. She has lived well with most dogs who respect boundaries, but she’s not suitable for a home with cats due to her love of the chase. Nami loves low-crowd adventures like hiking and sniffy walks, too.This goofy gremlin is fully house trained and crate trained! She values her privacy when it comes to her personal space during meals or naps and should be crated during those times. She`s searching for a loving home that`s cat-free, full of scritches, and ready for endless fun. Nami’s cartoonish expressions and sideways ear will quickly win over your heart, and she’s excited to be your loyal companion!
