Rex

My story

Rex is such a love!!! Rex was born on February 17, 2022. He is a big boy at about 70 pounds and he is very tall. He is a shepherd with some cattle dog mixed in. He loves the outdoors, so he would be amazing for a family with some property or a large yard, but he also adores being with his people, so he is happy to chill inside as well. He still has a few puppy traits (occasionally finds something to chew on, that he shouldn't), but for the most part, he is just a great dog with a good amount of energy, but not too crazy! He loves toys and he loves puppies! He does seem to get along with most dogs with a proper intro. Sometimes he gets a little over excited meeting new dogs when he is on a leash, so he may bark at them (and he has a big bark), but he will settle down. We think he would be a good dog for someone with mobility issues because of his height and size. He's great in the car and he's good with kids but because of his size and occasionally mouthing and herding, we think he's probably best with older kids. He is housetrained and crate trained. He really is such a good boy and we can't quite figure out why he hasn't found a home yet. Currently in need of new foster in So Cal or can be adopted anywhere in California. Adoption fee of $200 includes spay/neuter, core vaccines (DAPP and rabies), microchip, access to training videos.
