My story

Meet Myra, the little spitfire ready to light up your life! Myra is a striking Australian Kelpie-looking dog with a personality as vibrant as her appearance. If you`re seeking a canine companion with heaps of character, she might be the one for you.Breed Myra resembles an Australian Kelpie, known for their intelligence and agility. This breed is renowned for their herding skills, and Myra certainly lives up to the reputation with her keen instincts. PersonalityMyra is a compact bundle of energy and enthusiasm. She`s a confident girl who knows what she wants and isn`t afraid to express herself. She might be a shortie, but she has a BIG attitude, making her a truly unique and memorable companion.TrainingMyra`s independent spirit means she prefers to do things on her terms. While this can be a charming quality, she`ll also need a patient and dedicated family willing to work with her. Consistent training and positive reinforcement will help her understand boundaries and become a well-behaved household member.Activity LevelLike all Kelpies, Myra thrives on physical activity and mental stimulation. She`s a high-energy girl who would thrive in an active household that can provide her with plenty of exercise and engaging activities to keep her busy.Family Fit Myra`s strong-willed nature means she may not be the best fit for a first-time dog owner. Experienced dog owners who understand the needs of a spirited breed like the Australian Kelpie would be ideal for her. She may also do best in a home without children, as her exuberance is a bit much for them.Affectionate Side:Behind Myra`s fiery exterior is a dog who can be incredibly loyal and affectionate with her family. Once she bonds with her humans, she`ll shower them with love and loyalty, making her a truly rewarding companion.Ideal HomeMyra`s ideal home would offer a combination of mental and physical stimulation. A secure yard for her to run and play in and regular exercise and mental challenges will keep her happy. She`d love to be a part of an active family that enjoys outdoor adventures and can appreciate her unique personality.Approx 3 years old and 34lbs. Myra is ready for her forever home since she`s chipped, vaccinated, spayed, and vet-checked! Want to know more about Myra, meet her, adopt her!? Please email us at adopt@azhartt.org or fill out the online application at www.azhartt.org/adopt

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Myra, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
