My story

Meet sweet Birdie! This adorable 4-year-old boxer/mixed breed was rescued just in time from the Kern County Shelter in Bakersfield by Jennifer Pryor of Pryor's Planet Rescue (503c). Birdie is currently with a foster who adores her! Birdie is a medium-sized beauty and gets along well with most dogs when introduced properly. She has medium to low energy and enjoys her daily walks and she loves playing with her ball. She has a love for water--She loves spending time at the beach or even in a kiddie pool! Birdie is fine with cats as long as she is supervised. She really is the perfect companion. She is crate-trained, non-destructive, and adores all humans. She has no health issues, knows basic commands, and is a great car rider who sits in the back with a big smile. Birdie is a perfect match for humans who enjoy long beach walks or relaxing on the couch. She is not a big barker, has good coping skills (does not have any separation anxiety), and is easy to walk on a leash. Birdie was spayed on 4/12/23 and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/ fostering/adopting this adorable girl, please go to the rescue's website and fill out either the foster application or the adoption application (whichever one you are interested in). Then, send completed form via email or fax to: E-mail: Jennifer@pryorsplanet.com Fax: 818-905-1564 Tel: 818-503-5759 Serious inquiries only. You must adopt in person. We do not ship dogs.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Birdie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
