Ms. Millicent

My story

Millie came to us at 8 months old with a fractured leg, after she healed she was adopted and lived with the family until February of this year. Now 4 years plus, she is homeless again. Thankfully back with her original foster Mom and decompressing. She is working on her fear of being left alone locked up. Millie is a gentle soul, with an excellent personality and temperament. She loves all people of all sizes and is dog social with her canine foster siblings. Millie would love an active family, a nice yard to play fetch and roll in the grass, and a soft bed to cuddle up in at night. Millie is child-approved. Millie currently weighs only 45lbs, she will be on the smaller side​. When she arrived at the shelter late-night her body showed signs of being malnourished and underweight. Millie does have containment phobia, fear of being confined or locked up. Millie will do best in a home where she does not have to be locked up and the family is home more than gone. She loves going in the car and going on adventures. Millie will need a confident dog in the home to coach and befriend her. Millicent is being fostered in the Springfield, IL area.
