My story

**This dog is in a foster home in Saint Catherine. Apply to adopt at lastminutedogrescue.comKenji is the kind of dog who bonds deeply, follows you from room to room, and leans in like hes saying, Youre my person now.Hes loyal, affectionate, a little bit earnest, and quietly goofy in the way dogs are when they feel safe enough to be themselves. At about 7 years old and 50 lbs, Kenji is the perfect medium-sized companion. He loves fetch, enjoys 3045 minute walks, is great in the car, and has an excellent off-switch once hes had his daily outing, hes more than happy to curl up nearby and nap like a professional. He knows sit, politely waits for food, is house trained, and walks well on a martingale. He may occasionally pause mid-walk to request affection, but honestly, its part of his charm.Kenji is thoughtful and observant, not reckless with his heart. New situations, unfamiliar men, and first meetings with other dogs can make him feel unsure at first. With slow introductions, calm handling, and a few well-timed treats, he settles nicely and builds trust. Once he does, his affection is steady and sincere the kind that sticks.Kenjis sensitivity makes perfect sense when you know his story. Picked up as a stray in the southern U.S., he spent far too long in kennels before finally experiencing foster life and learning what it means to belong. Despite that, he has emerged gentle, loving, and deeply people-oriented proof of how resilient and special he truly is.Kenji will do best in a quiet, predictable home, ideally with women, and children over 8 who can respect boundaries. He is not cat-friendly and has a moderate prey drive. He can live with another calm, friendly or aloof dog, but does best with polite, low-drama canine companions.Kenji isnt a project dog.Hes a relationship dog one who needs patience, understanding, and time to feel safe. In return, he offers loyalty, devotion, and the rare joy of being chosen completely.Kenji is ready to come home.
