My story

*** Reina is in a foster home. ***Reina #18117: brown & black tabby w/white, short hair, sp. female, born approx. 12/22/17Cats: enjoys a playmate Dogs: probably not Children: cat-savvy tweens+ / adultsBACKGROUND: Reina was being fed by a kind lady but the other cats also partaking were chasing her away from meals. A friend stepped in and got Reina connected to The Rescue House. PERSONALITY: This skilled and social kitty is a mighty huntress with a mind of her own! She wants to call the shots in your relationship, and her two main goals are pets and play. While she’s not a cuddler, she’ll sleep by your feet and is very interactive when you’re awake. Reina will follow you around, loves to get pets on her head and chin (please avoid the belly and rear), and has the cutest chirp of a meow! She does not like it when you get distracted by your phone, however; she wants your full focus and engagement. Reina always wants to greet you and hang out with you (she is like a dog in some ways), and if she feels you’re not giving her enough attention then she’ll give you a little nip or pawing to say hey back to me! Pet the kitty! And get that wand out! Reina is a very clever girl who needs to keep her mind busily engaged and her energy regularly expended: she excels at puzzle feeder-type toys and needs multiple hard workouts through the day with wands and lasers. One game Reina loves to play to keep her hunting skills polished is to ambush your legs as you walk past a doorway. She’s a cat who’ll keep you on your toes, that’s for sure, but you will never be bored! Reina is action-oriented and inquisitive; her dream home is furnished with tall cat trees for vertical escapades, loose toys for pouncing, a fountain to provide running water, and you ready to engage with her whenever she wants! She is a queen, after all… COMPATIBILITY: If given a proper introduction, Reina has the energy to romp with easygoing younger cats and enjoys doing so; the one-year-old cat in her foster home is her BFF. While she had lived peaceably with a dog before, she was later bitten by a small hyper one and may now have doubts about the canine species. Younger children would not be a good match; cat-savvy tweens and up who understand there is no malice in Reina, just a lot of drive, may work well to help her expend her energy. Reina is an independent-minded kitty who likes plenty of attention in her own special way. She’s
