My story

My name is Rocky B and I am an approximately 3 year old black male that is about 80 pounds. I came into SCLRR from a local shelter. I might be a little shy when I first meet new people, but everyone I’ve met has commented on how sweet I am. And everyone says I’m such a good boy! I take treats gently. I love belly rubs and want to be near wherever you are. I love to cuddle. When my foster family leaves me in the house alone, I’m so well behaved I don’t cause any trouble. I don’t bark, steal or chew things. When someone says no, I listen. I’m potty trained (but I only like to go potty on walks so far). I’m very mellow and can hang out and sleep all day. But my foster family takes me on two walks a day, and I love my walks. I walk great on a leash and don’t pull or bark at other people or dogs when I’m out. But I do need you to hold on tight to my leash if I see a rabbit or a squirrel! I live with my foster doggie brother and we get along, but I’m not really into playing with him. I would be great as a solo dog because I like all the attention but I would get along with another mellow dog. I haven’t been around any cats but if I see a squirrel or a rabbit, I might go after them so maybe no cats. I don’t think I’ve ever had any toys. My foster family has tried to get me to play with toys and balls and so far I’m not really getting it, but sometimes I act interested. In my foster family, I live with a teenager, and I love him. Because of my size and my height, I think I would do best in a family with older kids or teens. I should also be with a family that doesn’t leave me in the yard alone and can watch me when I’m in the yard because I might figure out a way to get out and come looking for my family or a squirrel. But most of the time when I’m in the backyard, I love to lay in the grass in the sun and get belly rubs. I don’t dig or destroy things. I would prefer to go to a home where people are not away from home for very long hours. I’m very mellow and sweet and cuddly.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rocky B, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
