Every morning, he proudly shows off the stuffed animals he was given the day before, tail wagging and eyes bright. His favorites are the plush ones, but hand him a tennis ball and you’ll see him light up, too. What Sam Loves Most:- Playing fetch—he’ll chase a tennis ball until your arm gives out (and then look at you like, `One more?`)- Long walks—he’s an excellent walker: no tugging, just pep in his step and a nose to the breeze- Toys, toys, and more toys- Quiet bonding time with people who take the time to earn his trustWhat Sam’s Ideal Home Looks Like:- Children 14+ (with a few slow, gentle introductions)- Possibly another dog, but multiple meet-and-greets would be needed to be sure- A family that will be patient at first—he’s a little shy with strangers, but truly shines once he feels safe- A secure yard or watchful humans—he has a touch of escape artist energySam is the kind of dog who starts out reserved but slowly and surely becomes your most loyal companion. Once he bonds with you, he’s all in—whether it’s running after a ball, curling up with a toy, or trotting beside you at the park. He’s been with us for nearly three years now. He’s waited patiently, learned his routine, played his games, and charmed every volunteer who’s spent time with him.Now he’s ready for more. He’s ready for his own person.---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Sam is very outgoing once he gets comfortable, he just doesn’t always introduce well to new people, so y
