My story

Harvey is a 3 year old American Bully mix found as a stray and never reclaimed. He is a shy boy with a lower amount of energy, looking for a quiet home to come out of his shell in. Harvey was pretty scared when he was picked up by animal control. We`ve give him some time to decompress at the shelter but what he really needs is a loving home that will be patient as he transitions yet again. He`s the epitome of an underdog who needs someone to step up and rescue him! Harvey does get along with other dogs at our shelter, we do recommend you bring yours to the meet and greet so we can be sure they get along. Can you help this special pup? He is desperate for an adopter or foster to give him a loving home!Harvey is microchipped, vaccinated and will be neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $35.We do have a `slumber party` program which allows you to take a dog home before adopting to see if they are a good fit for your family. There is no cost or commitment for this - we provide the supplies, you provide the love! Not sure which pet you`re interested in? Each year HSSM houses approximately 10,000 homeless pets. Every day we are fighting a space capacity crisis as we try to care for the overwhelming amount of abandoned local pets.
