Meet Dalton, a sweet 2 to 3-year-old Blue Heeler mix who has had a tough start to life. He is a bit scared and unsure of new people and new situations, which can cause him to become nippy. But don't let that fool you! Underneath his fear is a loving and loyal dog who just needs a patient and understanding owner to help him build his confidence.Dalton has a lot of potential and with time, patience, and proper training, he will become a wonderful companion. He needs an adopter who is willing to work with him and help him overcome his fears. Positive reinforcement training methods will be the key to helping Blue feel safe and secure in his new home. He has shown great progress when working with our junior volunteers over the age of 8, but he still needs a low stress home where he can feel safe and secure. With his beautiful coat and bright, curious eyes, Dalton is sure to capture your heart. He loves to play and go for walks, but can sometimes be timid around new people or loud noises. He would do best in a quiet, low-stress home with a patient and understanding owner who can give him the love and support he needs to flourish. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who just needs a little extra TLC, Dalton may be the perfect match for you. With your help and guidance, he will become a confident and happy dog who will always be by your side. Curious to find out more about Dalton?
