My story

Raised with kids and a dog!I am the foster mom for Bo, a Silver Bengal Tabby, (aka Boo), and Saari, a Dilute Tortoiseshell, (aka Spooki). They are sisters and they make a wonderful pair. Through my fostering experience I can see that just like my own kids, kittens want to play with someone that has similar play-energy. My two youngest girls play well together and my older son has activities he likes that are separate from his sisters and he has friends his own age. Kittens get lonely without friends to play with, too. I can see that they are happiest to be with their best friend. We first wanted just one kitten and then it made total sense why a pair of kittens was important to their biological needs of “play” hunting. Then, my family adopted all three (3) of the boys! Saari, (aka Spooki), the dilute tortoiseshell, (grey and peach) is very adventurous. You will find her always wanting to play and running around. She may be teeny tiny, but don’t let that fool you! Saari meows to communicate to get your attention and follows you around and she taps me in the morning with her paws to wake up. When she is ready for bed she will crawl into bed and snuggle all night. She is the leader.  Bo, (aka Boo), the silver Bengal tabby may be perceived as shy at first meeting, but when she feels comfortable and gets to know you her sweet side really shows. You’ll find her right next to you waiting for some pets soon after she feels comfortable. She’s likes being picked up when “she comes to you” and that is the sign that she’s warmed up to you. Bo will be found sleeping in some unusual places. We once found her in a basket with my plant. Bo has a gentle sweetness about her.   We match the kittens in pairs seeing how they play together and watching how they pair off naturally with each other in play. We don’t want to separate best play buddies. Someone will love Bo and Saari like we do. We just can’t have five! PLEASE REPLY WITH THE "BELOW" INFORMATION WHEN YOU INQUIRE. THE ADOPTION PROCESS: COVID and the Delta variant have changed the way we do things so the interview process starts with you replying about yourself, others in the home or others that visit regularly, current pets and about the ones that you have had in the past and where they are now. Your work schedule, and what lifestyle you plan for your pet; indoor only, indoor but allowed out sometimes, indoor / outdoor. Your answers will give us an idea of your experience and the lifestyle of choice for your new pet. The organization wants to get to know the potential adopter before formalizing an application because it is important to discover if the cat of interest is a good fit for you, your family, lifestyle and with any other pet family members.    October 29, 2024, 7:02 am
