My story

Roxanne von Rohl is a beautiful 3-4 year-old German Shepherd. Very sweet and loyal, Roxanne is a girl who does wonderfully and bonds closely with people in her inner circle. She can be a a bit shy meeting new people so she is looking for a quiet adult home. Once she knows you she's just the sweetest girl (a favorite with some of our staff). Roxanne likes going out in the rain with her yellow raincoat, she knows she is a sight to behold! Calm and a dream on the leash, she is housebroken, rides well in a car, and is obedient and eager to please her person. She already knows a list of commands, and is a gentle treat taker. On her walks she meets other dogs nicely and likes to sniff and explore her world. She also does great in her playgroups at the rescue, but is a no for small dog or kitty pals. Plus Roxanne wants you to know, she does like the cool evening air and might like to hang out a little. Make no mistake though, she loves big, soft beds in the house! Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
