My story

All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Sepia showed up in her foster mom's yard one day with a few other cats, all who had never been seen before. Despite looking for owners, it was clear that if these three had a home before, they no longer did. None of them were terribly comfortable with people, so they were considered to be feral cats at that point, and TNRd (trap-neuter-return). They all chose to stick around her foster mom's house, however, since they were getting food, water, shelter...  and not too long after, Sepia realized she could also get love. She started following her foster mom around when she was putting out food and asking for attention and love, becoming less and less interested in the food and more interested in being petted. When she showed up one day with a wound on her tail, her foster mom brought her in for treatment and to reassess if she would be able to move to a home environment. She settled into family life nicely, will come running for attention, though she still isn't completely comfortable with most people picking her up. She also acquired a little brother, Sebastian, and the two will need to stay together. He is obsessed with her and doesn't know what to do with himself when she's not around.  Sepia did test FIV+, but that doesn't mean she can't live a long, healthy life and is not easily spread to other cats. Current veterinary studies show that it is spread primarily through deep bite wounds, and since she gets along well with other cats, her spreading the disease is no issue. Basically, all FIV means is that she has a bit of a weakened immune system, so she may need more frequent vet visits, but she has not shown signs of any illness, even a slight cold, since she has been in foster care.   DOB: 4/13/2017 - System ID: T-AW1-22 *Want to adopt?
