My story

LuciI should have a gold star attached to my records at the HSHC! I was born of a stray momma cat at the shelter. And I have been here three times, never due to my failure as a pet. It is no wonder that I am showing signs of being stressed. I need a family or one person who will provide a stable, consistent, and supportive home for the rest of my life. I am only 2-years-old, 10 lbs., and gorgeous. I had some tummy trouble, caused mainly by worrying and being anxious. After some testing and a little medicine, I am feeling much better. Well enough to move to the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC)! The vibe there is relaxed and dependable. People come and go, socializing with us cats, and we can interact with them if we choose to do so. The interviewer lady (IL) was over for a visit to meet the newest residents. I was sleeping on the back of the couch while two ladies sat there talking. They got up and left, but I remained where I was so the IL could interview me. I let her give me some pets, but as is my want, I licked her hand and gave her a nibble. She commented on how sleek and shiny my coat was. I am a friendly girl, just a little reserved. I think I`ve lost some confidence by being adopted and returned. Once you show me you mean it when you say I`m yours forever, I will be happy to show you all my charms. My new home must give me a slow introduction to the place. A small space (like a bathroom or bedroom) with everything I need will provide me with a safe spot to begin transitioning to your schedule and routines. If you come to the SKCC, please look for me. I might be on the couch! 12-15-24
