Toothless was surrendered by his owner's when he suddenly became rear paralyzed and they felt they could no longer care for him. Toothless is about 7-8 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. He is a sweet cat who loves to be pet more than anything. His chiropractor believes that the cause of his paralysis is due to an issue with a nerve coming from his spine and not a spinal injury itself. Xrays don't show any noticeable damage. He is able to urinate and defecate on his own (no expression needed), but due to not being able to walk he either wears a diaper, or he is is crated with a litter box lined with pee pads (litter ends up sticking to him and creating more issues). He is fairly mobile and will scoot around pretty well, but is pretty chill and spends most of the days just laying around and snoozing. Toothless lives with multiple dogs and does wonderfully. We are uncertain how he is with other cats. Toothless' adoption donation of $100 helps cover the cost of his vetting. He will come with his reusable diapers and his low entry litter box. If you are interested in adopting the first step would be to complete the adoption application. The application can be found on our website under www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Toothless, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
