My story

Meet Madison! She is currently in a foster home in Crown Point, IN. Foster mom says "Madison was a bit shy when first coming into foster but has come a long way. She loves other dogs big and small. Does not chase cats and over all gets along with all animals and kids. She is learning the basic commands is loveable and very food motivated. She still needs work on walking on a leash but does love car rides. Overall she is a great puppy when she looks at you she smiles and has the most loving eyes and temperament." She is a spayed female guessed to be about 4 months old and weighs 24lbs. She has a microchip, updated vaccines, rabies, fecal, flea-tick and heartworm prevention. Adoption Process: - Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. - We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit that is dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Dyer, IN area and partner with 12 other rescues and shelters in both IL and IN that are willing to help southern pets in need.
