My story

Meet WOLFIE! He loves you already! This beautiful boy may look like a wolf on the outside, but inside, he’s the sweetest, silliest boy you'll ever meet! He loves to chase his squeaky ball through the yard and rarely says no to a friendly game of tug-of-war, all in good fun. He wants to play with every dog he meets on his walks and is excited to meet all humans. Although he is still perfecting to keep all four paws on the ground when excited, he’s made significant progress since he’s been with us. So far, he knows ‘sit’ but enjoys learning new things and pleasing the ‘hooman.’ If he could, he would be by my side all day, close to people but does not mind hanging out in his crate, where he enjoys his time while we’re away and also sleeps in it every night peacefully. He loves belly rubs and will offer them up frequently. He will then present the silliest upside-down, tongue-out goofball face you've ever seen and nudge you to 'just the right spot' with his paw - the sweetest boy! He loves to chew bones on his big bed, and if he could bury all of them in the yard, he would - without eating them once. He also loves sticks and will pick up random ones while hiking, carry and chew them for a bit and then carry on. He’s been enjoying long walks/hikes, but I can see him looking longingly at the dogs running, next to people or bikes, and I am pretty sure he would love that too. He’s been great with our almost 7yr old daughter, but like all puppies should always be supervised around children. His size alone could make for some unintentional playtime bumps. We have two 'extra small' senior dogs that unfortunately never warmed up to WOLFIE (not at all WOLFIE’s fault! - They were attacked by a big dog some years ago and couldn’t overcome their fears to make friends). Still, he would probably enjoy having another big dog sibling to spend his playtime with. I have never met a dog that gets as many compliments as WOLFIE; he's beautiful, sweet, loving, and will be the best boy for a caring person or family. WOLFIE is a HUSKY MIX. He is about 9 months old and is good with cats, dogs and children. WOLFIE is currently located at a foster home in Lake Elsinore, Ca. APRIL 2022: With all the needed social distancing...we are still doing adoptions. We can do meet and greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at any of the PETSMARTS listed below. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ********** If the PUPPPY / DOG is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the puppy/dog. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out be patient. We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescues. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS. WOLFIE is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $350 covers: Neuter DA2PP shots Bordetella shots RABIES shot Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip Have a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt WOLFIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
