My story

Scottish Fold Silver Point, DOB April 11, 2021. Please read the full bio below before expressing your interest- thank you. Initially shy, Jelly Bean likes affection and will start purring readily with a gently touch. She enjoys being groomed too. She socializes well with humans, listens when being talked to and responds to being called. Jelly Bean sleeps most of the afternoon and is most active and ready to play in the morning and early evening. She plays enthusiastically with a lot of energy - she loves chasing paper balls and any round toys that can be thrown about, often displaying great leaps and dives while wrestling on her toys. She wags her tail when being affectionate, will kick her toys with her back legs like she is playing soccer, and likes hiding and then pouncing on her toys. She doesn't like being chased or approached abruptly and responds better when you are down at her level. She vocalizes quietly with chirps and murmurs and the rare meow. Jelly Bean is not a cuddler, but likes human company and will follow you around or will lounge with you during quiet times. She will ask to be petted by bumping her head against your hand once she trusts you. She is inquisitive, playful and companionable, Jelly Bean was surrendered to Toronto Animal Services as a sick kitten. Based on the levels of the Protein C and the clinical history, test suggests that she most likely has a condition called microvascular dysplasia which will need to be monitored. She will enjoy a good quality of life as an indoor cat in a clean environment free of chemicals and toxins that could aggravate her condition. She is not fussy or finicky and eats both wet and dry food. Keep water and food dishes fresh, clean and well stocked with good quality food. She is clean and litter trained (but you will need to scoop litter box at least twice a day!). She is a really sweet, intelligent cat with an outgoing energy - she is just going to get even more companionable as she matures!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jelly Bean, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
