My story

We adopted out Stewie and Twilight as kittens in Autumn of 2015. Unfortunately, their owner (the mother of the family) passed away in 2020. The family tried to take care of the cats, but grief and other life commitments made it too difficult, and so they made the responsible decision to surrender them to us in May 2021. Stewie and Twilight lived with 2 older female cats who were surrendered to the Humane Society of Indianapolis for rehoming. With all the changes in their lives over the past year, Stewie and Twilight are traumatized. They need a home where they can stay together to have a familiar feline face nearby and to comfort each other. Stewie and Twilight have not been around dogs or small children. Stewie is 15 pounds of muscle. He is a big sweetheart once he gets to know you, but is not fond of strangers and will hide from them. As he has gotten comfortable with us, he loves attention and will give head butts. Twilight is a tripod. When she came to us as a kitten, her front leg was dangling useless. We had it amputated and had her spayed. She can still get around as well and as fast as any other cat. She weighs 11 pounds. Like Stewie, she is sweet but shy with strangers. Their new adopter will need to give them plenty of time and quiet to allow them to get comfortable in their new home. They should also be brushed regularly to help with shedding. Stewie and Twilight are spayed/neutered, re-vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV as kittens and are microchipped. Adoption fee = $40 per cat Stewie & Twilight can be met at PetSmart in Carmel/Westfield, 14720 US 31 N Carmel, IN 46032 during store business hours. Application is available at the store.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Twilight, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
