My story

Shawn is a 6 year old terrier mix, who has come such a long way since first arriving as a stray in 2021. If you`re looking for a dog with a big heart and even bigger personality, Shawn might just be your perfect match. Shawn is a dog who thrives with routine, kindness, and a little bit of patience. Once he`s out and about, he walks with a happy tail and a wag in his step. Though he came to us as a stray, Shawn has learned that people can be pretty great. He may be a little unsure around new people at first, but with a slow introduction and some patience, he warms up beautifully. When it comes to toys, tennis balls are life. Stuffed toys? Meh. But toss him a tennis ball and watch his eyes light up. He`s a bit of a ball collector. Shawn is looking for a home where he can be the only dog—he prefers the company of humans to other pups and can be reactive around dogs. He’d thrive in a calm, adult-only home who understand boundaries and can help him feel safe and loved. Shawn is loyal, goofy, smart, and deeply ready to bond with someone special. If you give him your heart (and a tennis ball or two), he’ll give you his whole world.
