Betty If you are in search of a new lap warmer, or a warm neck scarf? I know, I know, its not a good time for such things in the middle of summer, but here we are. If you adopt us now, we’ll be ready when the weather turns cold and you need us in your personal space. We will be patient, but don’t be surprised if we try to snuggle every evening before bed, even in the summer. You might want to adjust your air conditioning down so we can pretend its fall and snuggle away. Our loud, easy and comforting purr will help calm and heal whatever is ailing you. We’re here for you. My name is Betty and my foster mommy likes calling me Betty Spaghetti. I am a sweetheart of a kitten that will charm you, if you’re lucky enough to meet me. I have a soft and beautifully marked calico fur coat, and mesmerizing gold eyes that makes me a stunning wee beastie. I have a wonderful, fun yet sweet personality that’s so easy going that I should do well in just about any kind of home. I am a champion wand toy acrobat, a laser toy chaser, a sibling wrestler, a great soccer/hockey player, a welcome committee member at my foster moms, and a cuddle monster. What more could you possibly be looking for in a kitten???? My siblings, Betty & Archie, and I came from Stockton from a good samaritan that found us as tiny bottle babies and searched for a rescue that would help us. The special ladies at Kitten Central were able to foster us and the wonderful folks at Mission Meow pledged to sponsor us (because they were out of available fosters). We all grew up safe, loved, warm and happy as spoiled rotten bottle babies. Once we were weened, we moved over to another foster mom that gave us more room to play, jump and run amok. We even have another litter of kittens to play with at our new foster mom’s home. We haven’t had the opportunity to meet any puppies yet, but our foster mom thinks that we’ll do perfectly fine with a cat-friendly dog, if we’re introduced slowly and correctly. As much as she loves us, and we love her, it is time for us to find our forever families. Our staff is now taking adoption applications for us and will be setting up meet & greets soon. Please consider taking a pair of us home, we will be great companions, cuddle buddies, and we’ll keep you entertained with our impressive WWE wrestling moves. Ok, so when are you coming to get me?? 1) READ ENTIRE AD 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE, including COVID adjustments. 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end). ---------MEDICAL INFO:---------- WE DO NOT CUT CORNERS WITH OUR CATS HEALTH NOR ONLY DO THE BARE MINIMUM REQUIRED BY LAW!!! We are a quality over quantity based rescue with our cat's health and your resident pet's health as a priority. We don't sacrifice quality health care for lower costs or hurrying to free up space in our program like other rescues and shelters do. We want your adoption experience to be a pleasant one. ADOPTION LOCATION: By Private appointment in Rocklin, CA area at Bark Avenue or foster home's backyard. -----ADOPTION PROCESS:------ APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match. NTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located at the link below. You can fill out electronically or print out and take a picture of the application & send it via email, whichever is easiest for you. https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process
