My story

Meet Blue... our latest little orphan who was found wandering, lost on a dirt country road. At first, Blue was frightened and unsure of everything… but he has since blossomed into a sweet and loving dog who loves to cuddle and play with his toys. Blue’s foster mom says he enjoys car rides, and walks very well on a leash. In fact, he is just the right size and has enough energy to make a great running partner! Patience and love will win Blue's heart. He’s a shy boy, but will warm up once he realizes he is safe. Blue is extremely smart and has a memory like an elephant! He always knows where his toys are... especially his squeaky toys and his Nylabone. Blue is fairly well housetrained and is crate-trained, although the crate is not his favorite place. He plays well with the other two dogs in his foster home, and should do well either as an ‘only dog’ or with another canine companion. Like most little Terriers, Blue will bark, warning his family of intruders. He is frightened of thunderstorms, but is fine as long as he is able to cuddle and hide under a blanket. His foster parents have spoiled him, letting him sleep in the ‘big bed’, under the covers. An adult-only home, or one with older children, will be best for Blue… preferably one where someone is home much of the day so he can be let out to ‘potty’ on a regular schedule. He’s a very young boy and still has plenty of energy that needs to be expelled, so hopefully he'll have a home with a fenced yard so he can safely run and play. Could Blue be the perfect match for your family? Blue is a very healthy young boy! He is neutered, microchipped, current on his Rabies and DHP/Parvo vaccines. He tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Blue's adoption fee is $275.00 Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect “forever” home! If you are interested in Blue, and think he may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process. To get an application, you can cut and paste this link to our online application: http://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application. You may also download an application from our website, or e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information. Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never “ship” or “transport” our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt BLUE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
