My story

Please, no calls/texts. Complete an application for this amazing dog if you are interested in adopting. IF HE IS STILL LISTED, WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS. Tresor (French for Treasure) is a sweet, happy, gentle boy who has been neglected his entire life prior to our rescuing him. Tresor is approximately 5 years old and great with people. He loves everyone he meets! He loves to follow you around the house and lay at your feet while you work or study. Tresor is great on a leash / harness and does not pull. Tresor had a chronic ear infection that went untreated for years. Due to the painful nature of the ear infection, he found himself scratching at his ears. Tresor created a hematoma that went untreated by his owners for more than a year. When he arrived in rescue, we took him in expecting surgery for his ears and were told that Tresor was not a candidate for hematoma surgery at this point. Thus, we had a deep ear canal cleaning and will bring him back weekly for his ear treatment (Note: bringing him back for his ear treatment is covered in his adoption fee at no additional expense to adopter until vet deems he is medically cleared). Tresor will go to his new home with his medications paid by the rescue. Visually, Tresor has the equivalent to cauliflower ear (seen in human professional fighters). He will always have his ears this way and it adds to his cute little personality. He is a big boy for a Frenchie, 27 lbs. Someone with time to work with him and teach him how to be a family dog, is desired. Tresor was a backyard dog and he would love to know what it’s like to be an indoor dog permanently with doggy door privileges. He has already learned the dog door which took less than 24 hours, so he is very trainable. Tresor is crate trained. Though, he has been sleeping in the bedroom next to his foster moms bed every night and has not had any accidents thus far. Tresor is a good boy and very loving. Tresor knows the "Sit" command. Tresor will be sent home with an eye drop that he will need once daily, as one eye is considered dry. It is as simple as your brushing your teeth every morning when you wake up. It takes no time at all and he is super cooperative (I actually believe he likes his eye drops because he will sit patiently to receive them). After the rescue completes his current ear treatment, he will be otherwise healthy. An exam by a respected licensed veterinarian was done and we also ran a blood panel to confirm his health. Tresor is Neutered, Vaccinated and Microchipped. He will be sent to his adoptive home with his permanent Identification tags and harness. The rescue prefers adoptive family consider pet insurance for the French Bulldog breed. If you aren’t in a position to make a lifetime commitment to an animal, but you want the perks of a dog in your home; consider our foster program. We have many healthy happy dogs needing temporary housing, including Tresor. Please complete the foster form if you are interested in opening your home, or the adoption application if you are interested in adopting Tresor. Please, no calls/texts. If you are interested in helping the rescue offset some of the medical bills for French Bulldogs in need, please visit our website or make a donation directly to our vets office. www.saveabowwow.com/rescue/adoption-form

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tresor (Treasure), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
