My story

Interested parties can fill out the adoption interest form on our website - http://www.hsaconline.org/adopt.html Chewey recently found himself abandoned at a local shelter after the death of his beloved owner. Anxious and afraid of his new surroundings, Chewey was visibly stressed and refused to really interact shelter staff. That behavior immediately changed however as soon as our HSAC transport volunteer busted him out of the shelter gates and brought him to his foster home in Burlington. His profile photos are a perfect example of how stressful the shelter environment can be on an animal (no matter how wonderful the staff may be) and how quickly that stress can melt away once they are set free. Chewey is a great little dog, weighing approximately 24 pounds. He is in a foster home with several other dogs of varying sizes and cats. He's done beautifully with everyone (although he did take pleasure is stalking the cats around during his first few days there). He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He would love to find a family with people who will cherish him forever and love him as much as he deserves. Adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchips and spay/neuter surgery if not already completed. Interested parties can fill out the adoption interest form on our website - http://www.hsaconline.org/adopt.html

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chewey, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
