Tan Or Fawn
Sweet and sassy - she is a true DIVA! This little lady wants to be around her people, but doesn't necessarily have to have your attention that full time, she does like to take off and do her fare share of house exploration. A small dwelling will not be ample for her needs, a fairly sizable or spread out layout will be in her best interest. She very much enjoys petting and kisses (she gives kisses too!) and a little cuddling in your arms in short bursts (don't forget the ear and face rubs - she lovvvvves that!), but she is also quite independent and doesn't want to be ON her people or pet all the time; she will definitely let you know when she's done with the touching. And she much rather would be next to you, instead of on your lap. After petting she likes to be in the room with you, but relaxing on a comfy blanket, cushy cat bed, or atop her cat tower while you watch TV or read a book. When not engaging with the family, she enjoys time in an open screened window enjoying the sun and the breeze and a little bird or squirrel watching from her cat perch (climbing tower is a must! as well as scratching pads and posts!) and curling up for a nap. Diva is quite curious so should be watched around open doors, though she has never escaped. She is part lazy and relaxing, and part playful - where she enjoys batting around a couple of her favorite toys and rolling around in her cube, running through her crinkle tunnel, or having you wave around some danglies on a wand (like the worm!) or the laser pointer for her to chase. She needs to be watched around some feather toys and definitely any toys with "strings", which she will immediately chew, break off, and eat. Sometimes this prissy princess will get over stimulated during play and doesn't want to be pet after or she will give a firm nip signaling that's enough. For this reason, no small children, but only older kids who understand how to read her body language. Diva has exhibited an EXTREME dislike for other animals while caged at our Adoption Center. She needs to be an only pet where she can live up to her name and be the only queen doted on by her owner/s. Diva is definitely a girl for a seasoned cat owner with her side dish of catitude. When that purrrrfect person comes for her, they will enjoy her company and wacky antics.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Diva, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
