PERSONALITY Pregnant and dropped off and abandoned on back roads because of an unwanted litter***Daphne is a beautiful combination of Labrador mixed with a little something that gave her those cute little white markings on her silky coat. NAME, GENDER, AGE WEIGHT & BREED NAME: DAPHNE GENDER: Female DOB: 10-05-20 WEIGHT: 40 Pounds BREED: Labrador Retriever/Flat Coat LOCATION: Delhi, LA ADOPTION FEE: $450.00 (includes transport) BIO DOG ADOPTED ON 05-22-21 We have a wonderful girl named Daphne from a litter of adorable puppies to introduce to you! She is a beautiful combination of Labrador mixed with a little something that gave her those cute little white markings on her silky coat. She is 6 months old and about 40 pounds, and is ready to begin her journey up north to find her forever home! Daphne, her brother, and two sisters were born to a sweet mama dog who, unfortunately, was not spayed in a timely manner. Luckily, she had a loving owner who is taking responsibility now. Mama has been spayed, and she reached out to a rescue group for help with finding the pups good homes. All too often, puppies are dropped off and abandoned on back roads because of an unwanted litter. Many people just don’t value these babies and don’t care what happens to them or the mother. However, in this case, we have happy, healthy puppies! When choosing a breed of dog for your family it is wise to do some research so that it is the perfect fit for everyone, including the new pup. The sweet-faced, lovable Labrador Retriever is America’s most popular dog breed. Labs are famously friendly, outgoing, and high-spirited companions who have more than enough affection to go around for a family looking for a medium-to-large dog. They are companionable housemates who bond with the whole family, and they socialize well with neighbor dogs and humans alike. But don’t mistake his easy going personality for low energy: The Lab is an enthusiastic athlete that requires lots of exercise, like swimming and marathon games of fetch, to keep physically and mentally fit. Daphne is just a delight. She loves to play with her siblings all day long, she loves everyone she meets, and she is such a love bug, enjoying as many hugs and snuggles as she can get. Because she is a puppy, Daphne would be a great addition to most households. She would do just fine with children and other dogs, however, we always strongly recommend that dogs and children are never left unsupervised in new situations. If you are looking to add a new member to your family, consider giving this sweet girl her new forever home. She will surely bring you years of love and happiness! THANK YOU Our rescue is only in the business of offering full disclosure to adopters, and expects and hopes to engage your questions and concerns fully. We owe it to the dogs we rescue and all the wonderful families/adopters who might consider welcoming our charges into their hearts and home. Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. It's sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their re-homing, and not just move them to save more dogs. We diligently and responsibly seek good matches, as we don't want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants. It's that winning combination of reciprocal trust and respect that allows for successful placements to be made. Happy adopters translate to happy dogs, and that's our goal!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Daphne AD 05-22-21, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
