Hi there, thank you so much for noticing me. I'm a beautiful Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix who weighs just at 40lbs pounds. A little about me, I originally came to HALO when I was just a pup and I traveled all the way from Mexico. I had been adopted, however, due to no fault of my own, I did come back under HALO's wing. Unfortunately, my previous family fell on hard times and were no longer able to keep and care for me. Thus, I am currently seeking my very own forever family. In my new home I think I would enjoy having another friendly, playful canine friend, (as long as they are my size or larger) to spend time with. My pawfect fit would also be a home with a fenced backyard and an active family to take plenty of walks with. I'll ensure that all the birds will stay out of the yard, too! Though I am almost a full two years old, I still have a lot of energy. I would love to burn that energy by playing a game of fetch or tug-o-war (they're my favorite games) or putting some new tricks in my book. I do already know how to ‘sit,' especially if treats are involved and I am also potty-trained, knowing how to use a dog-door. I've not been around any children in the past, but I think older kids would likely be best as I am still learning a sense of personal space. I like to think I'm a lapdog and will try to climb right up. I also enjoy playing with my toys - my Kong's, squeaky toys, rope toys and tennis balls! After a good play session, you might catch me curled up and snoring on a comfy bed, if not snuggled close by your side. I can be a little shy or leery when it comes to the unknown, especially when it comes to fireworks/loud noises, but as long as you reassure me, I'll be quite all right. I can't wait to find my new family that will be able to give me all the love and support I deserve.
