My story

My name is Red, and I am 6 years old. I am a very easy going and sweet boy. I am a lover of people and being around them. In my foster home I enjoy being in the garden and watching the birds and chickens on the other side of the fence. I also like sleeping on my garden cot in the sun. I’m not very fond of the rain. It makes my feet wet! I will go out to do my business, but after that I’m right back inside. I would like to be in a monogamous relationship with my person in regards to other dogs. I do have other foster dog siblings where I am now, but I’ve never had a family of my very own, and I long to find a best friend and family who will just hang out with me, play with me and love me. I know several tricks like sit and stay in place, and I walk nicely on leash. My foster mom says I am very smart and eager to please, so maybe you can teach me even more fun stuff. I may have been left alone for long periods in the past because I prefer not to stay home alone for long periods. I’m okay for around 6 hours without problem, but if you are gone for long periods I worry you are never coming back and get anxious. I have a nice low energy level and I like a calm environment, so if you are a bit of a couch potato, we might be a perfect match. I’d be happy to hang out with you on the sofa watching movies or sitting on the floor in the kitchen while you cook. I’ll clean anything up you drop on the floor. I am super easy once I learn my routine. My foster mom says I am a pleasure to be around, and I bond with people very fast. I am a good boy and am hoping I get a family of my very own soon who will love me, play with me and give me the attention I so enjoy. In return you will get the most loyal and loving friend you ever had! Check out my pictures too, I’m pretty adorable! If you want to know more about me or meet me in person please contact Martina Animal Rescue at: martinaanimalrescue@yahoo.com, irinad@english-russian.us or (510) 697-0072. Love, Red Application, home check and adoption fee required.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Red, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
